Leading Chilean broadcaster Canal 13 is to use Yospace’s Dynamic Ad Insertion platform in its live simulcast coverage of Copa América Centenario, a special centenary edition of the South American soccer tournament.
The announcement comes following the overwhelming success of last year’s tournament, for which Yospace’s server-side ad replacement service opened up 10 times more inventory for the broadcaster. The server-side insertions were tracked client-side, allowing real-time analytics for advertisers as well as a seamless viewing experience for the end user. The system proved to be so beneficial it was re-deployed after the event to provide ad replacement for Canal 13’s simulcast service on a continuing 24/7 basis.

As host broadcaster, Canal 13 measured its audience in millions for the tournament, which saw Chile win the final for the first time. The exponential growth of live streaming over the last 12 months means that figure is expected to be exceeded by a long way this time around.
