Grenoble, France – Staines, UK – April 20, 2017. Keepixo, a leading provider of software-based head-end solutions for IPTV and OTT, and Yospace, a leading provider of Dynamic Ad Insertion solutions, today announced their systems have been pre-integrated to offer a full end-to-end monetisation solution for live TV channels when viewed online.Yospace’s server-side Dynamic Ad Insertion technology allows broadcasters to replace advertisements across live streams in a way that reflects the seamless viewing expectations of broadcast television. Replacement ads can be tailored to suit the interests of each viewer, creating an environment in which view-through rates far exceed industry norms, which is great news for advertisers and broadcasters alike.Keepixo’s packaging product is a flexible, feature-rich OTT packager. Provided as a stand-alone solution or combined with Keepixo’s live transcoder, it can address all OTT formats and requirements.Technically, Keepixo’s equipment receives live audio/video streams with SCTE-35 ad markers, and encodes them in multi bit-rate for OTT TV platforms. Yospace’s platform receives that stream and, when it detects an ad marker, calls a 3rd party ad server which instructs Yospace which ads to stitch into the stream. Yospace manage each streaming session individually, which allows advertising to be served that is relevant to the user’s interests.“Now that OTT services are becoming widely deployed, broadcasters and operators are looking for ways to monetize their content. And this is where Yospace comes in,” said Jerome Blanc, COO at Keepixo. “Yospace’s Ad Insertion technology combined with the flexibility of our OTT Encoder-Packager enables targeted and regionalized advertisements, and secures our customers’ ad revenues.”“We’ve worked with Keepixo longer than any other encoding or packaging provider and we’re delighted to announce the pre-integration of our platforms,” said David Springall, CTO at Yospace. “Dynamic Ad Insertion is the most talked-about monetization solution for broadcasters today. One of the key factors behind a successful implementation is the relationship between the ad stitching platform and the encoding/packaging workflow, so this announcement is great news for all concerned.”A demonstration of Keepixo’s OTT encoder-packager integrated with Yospace’s ad insertion solution will be available on Keepixo’s stand (#SU9102CM) at NAB/Las Vegas, April 24-27, 2017.
