How To: Getting Feeds from Brightcove 2

This article explains how take content from the Brightcove 2 console automatically into yospaceCDS and publish it as a mobile feed.  This articles assumes that you have an active Brightcove 2 console account and have populated it with content.

Step 1: Go to Players tab

Go to the Players tab in the Brightcove Console. From here, select the Player containing the Line-up that you want to take into yospaceCDS.

Step 2: Ensure that RSS Publishing Is Enabled for your Selected Player

Click the Edit button after selecting the Player you want to publish.

Make sure that the Publish an RSS Feed for this Player option is checked.

Step 3: Get the Media RSS URL for the Player

On the Players tab, click the Get Publishing Code button:

Then choose the last tab, RSS. Click the Copy button underneath the Media RSS URL (highlighted in screenshot) to copy the URL to your clipboard.

Step 4: Set Up Content Group in yospaceCDS

Log in to the yospaceCDS Content Management Console and create a new Content Group. This Content Group will hold the videos that you bring in from Brightcove.

Step 5: Set Up RSS Input Feed in yospaceCDS

Now create an RSS Input Feed, and paste the URL you copied from the Brightcove Console into the RSS URL box.

Step 6: Set Up Output Feeds

Decide where you want your content to be available. You can publish your content as a Podcast, Nokia Video Center feed, surface it in your own mobile site or handset application using MRSS, or create a channel in EyeVibe, the UK's largest mobile video community.
