- Type keywords into the Search box to search for all items within the Content Group that contain the text you typed in the title or description field of the Media Item. Click the Cancel Search icon (marked as an X) to cancel the search and return you to a view of all items.
- The first 10 items of the Content Group will be shown to you. You can swap between subsequent pages using the pager directly above the list of items.
- To extend the list to the next ten items (useful if you are wanting to sort a wide range of items) just click the Load More Items... button. This button will no longer appear at the bottom of the page if there are no more items to display.
Editing Media Items

- Select the Thumbnail tab and play the video, pausing it at the frame that you want to make into the thumbnail.

Replacing Media
yospaceCDS R2.1 introduced the ability to replace the media associated with an item of content. The media replacement function replaces the underlying media asset without changing the item's ID. The media replacement function is CDN-cache friendly in that the new media is immediately available to end-users once it has been successfully ingested, regardless of the caching policy in downstream CDNs.
This facility is helpful if you have made some corrections or revisions to a video in your library and where downstream system may have already cached the access URL.
Watch our video tutorial on how to replace media, the key points are:
- Use the Media tab of a content item; you can specify a URL from which yospaceCDS will fetch the new content or can you upload directly from your PC.
- If the item was ingested via a feed, the original content URL is shown in the URL box.
- You can also use Content Adjustment Settings to adjust the newly ingested media
- Once you submit the media, the media is ingested and encoded by yospaceCDS. The old media will remain active but the item will have a "Revising" label.
- Once the encoding of the new media is complete, the old media is deleted and the new media is made active. At no point is the content not available to end-users.

Deleting Items
- If you are a user with Administrator privileges, you will see a link at the bottom right of the Info tab labelled Delete. Clicking this will present two options: Delete Permanently or Delete and Re-ingest. The Delete Permanently will remove the Media Item but will also keep a record of the GUID on the original feed so that it is not automatically re-ingested. The Delete and Re-Ingest is relevant only if the item was ingested via an Input Feed. By selecting this option, the Input Feed will re-ingest the content on its next poll cycle.
- If you are a user with Editor privileges, and the item is a member of more than one Content Group, you will see link on the bottom right of the Info tab labelled Remove. Clicking this removes the item from the current Content Group. The Remove link will not be see if the current Content Group is the last group of which the Item is a member.
